Dude..I am a full on USA supporter. But let's be real.

We're NOT garbage. Not at all. But we're not that great either.

We "tied" Italy only because they scored on themselves and then we got called for a crap penalty. With a good ref and 11 on 11 we would have lost. Maybe drawn 0-0.

You know why? Because we cannot score. At least not at the level that is required to do well in an international tournament. Sure we can hang with the best but to actually BEAT them takes a little more than NOT losing.

Yeah McBride is good. Are players are GOOD. But to do well in the World Cup you have to be GREAT. We're on the same level as say a decent aisan or central/south american team. Like a Paraguay or a South Korea. They're not bad...but they are not winning the world cup anytime soon.

I'm sick of Donovan. He just sucked. Maybe he should be playing in Europe instead of being a homesick baby and playing for the LA galaxy. That's not going to prepare you to lead the team in the WC for chrissake.

Bruce Arena is out of his league. We need a coach that knows international football because he has been THERE. Like a Gus Hiddink etc. Bruce is really just a glorified college coach who got lucky in 2002. I love the guy but he should be coaching in the MLS.

Maybe Klinsmann will come coach us..but I doubt it now.

World Cup Aftermath Well, as I expected, there was a small bit on the incident on ESPN today following the very controversial attack that happened towards the end of OT. Read for yourself. For me, I believe that's probably some of what happened, as well as a lot more jeering back and forth. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=373675&cc=5901 And how about Materazzi's response. It was professional, but at the same time, I can almost sense his sarcasm. And how's that for class, Italian fans? Rating: 5
