That's not necessarily true. You could be allergic to other things than the THC. Typically when people have allergic reactions, they're reacting to the protein content in the allergen. Even in vegetable matter like weed, there are tiny amounts of protein.

It's perfectly likely that you're allergic. I've known several other people who were allergic to grass. Are you quite certain, though, that your mouth isn't coming into contact with some sort of metal? The similarities between what you're describing and what you experienced with the trumpet mouthpiece are rather striking. Does Benadryl make the allergic reaction subside?
birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on . possible THC/marijuana allergy? i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about THC or marijuana allergies. i've been smoking for about three years now, and just recently i noticed (or maybe it just recently developed) that every time i smoke my lips become swollen, puffy, and red. it's similar in a way to a nickel allergy: i used to play trumpet and i was allergic to the nickel in the mouthpiece; every time i played my lips would swell in the way that i described above. does anyone know if this is an allergy, or is this Rating: 5
