Well as far as quality players goes, Italy wins that, but the team that played the best yesterday did not win. France played well throughout the whole game, creating chances and going at players. Saying Italy played better than France is a farce.

And lol, no, Italy is not pure class. Please explain how elbowing a player while going up for a header is class. Or how the whole nation is under a microscope now b/c of the Serie A scandal. They played well throughout the Cup, I'll give them that, but I still feel Buffon is overrated, and little goofy at that. Zidane's instance is just one, while Italy seems plagued with these. Please, no class at all. Skill, however, is amazing.

Zidane's career will definitely not be remembered for that red card. Sure it will be a footnote to bring up, but still, the man is a legend. 2 goals in the '98 final against Brazil dominates everything, as well as this year's Cup. I still have the utmost respect for him, despite what happened. No one really knows what went on on the pitch. For all we know, there might have been a few elbows thrown or something leading up to the altercation, but for him to just stop dead in his tracks and turn around, that fucking Iti must have said or done something totally uncalled for. I'm not justifying his actions, but that's part of the game. He did lose his cool, and I'm sure he'll lose months of sleep over it. That's life though, and at least he can knock around his golden ball when he gets lonely.
