i say fair play to zidane. Materazzi goaded him, knowing he would get a response. The best thing for Zidane to have done would've been to ignore him, but the second best thing was what he did.

There's no question that Zidanne is a legendary footballer. However, when you're in such a position you take on a lot of responsability. You become a role model to so many. He let so many people down yesterday, words are only words. You need to be able to control yourself on the field at all times, I don't remember hearing about Pelé headbutting someone. What Zidanne did was disgraceful and it will always live with him, I am sure of it. If he had kept his composure he could've helped his team to the cup, but no.

Italy won because they are pure class. Letting in 2 goals all world cup, 1 own goal, 1 penalty kick. They're defence was clutch as hell. They're hole team was so deep. the first 8 goals were scored by 8 different players or something like that. Even with the scandel goin on in ITaly and the player who attempted suicide Italy still pulled through. They deserved it more. The better team won.

Im offended by some ppl branding italy cheats - i work for a sports photo company and we do the opta stats here are some - there off my head the last time i remember it goes in this order:

Portugal
France
Argentina
Ghana
even brazil dived

Italy did DIVE a few times but far far far from the most times! i know ive watched every game at least 3 tiimes ive seen italy games about 5 times each!

but i aint sayin i kno everthin please dont get me wrong

every1 has a opinion but be careful when using words ppl find offensive if u say italians are cheats then ur branding the country it self as a cheat i would never say americans are ignorant or nothing like that if u have a problem with a team adress the teams
