i too have been toking for 20+ years, growing outdoors for the past seven or eight. i'm growing my first indoor garden this year thanks to a recent move to the city. all you have to do is look for the balls...... it has already been said, use a magnifying glass and you can't go wrong. the earlier the better! get some bloodmeal to put around the base, keeps the cutworms and thrips (tiny aphid-sized weevil) from killing your beauty. avoid circling around your plant while tending it. the resulting trampled path around it will look like a bullseye from the air. best to plant it right off of a footpath where you know it won't bee snatched. if you plant 'em where they don't expect them to be no one will discover them, unless you have planted afghan or an afghan-related species. i knew a guy who was famous for his "gan" and you could find his plants by smell.
