You can take one seed and do the gentle crush method to see if there is moisture in the seed. You will destroy one seed this way but if you need to check the rest it works. Some even use the gentle crush method to speed up germination. I would not recommend it for most people, it takes a feel to just crack the shell and not damage the seed pod inside the shell.
