And I wasnt getting at the fact that your parents would look under there. A cardboard box with charcoal sitting on the bottom of it isnt going to get rid of the smell for you. From what i've read it takes a pretty well made carbon scrubber to do a good job on the oders. I'm not tryin to bust balls dude, just tryin to save you from the inevitable. But we all learn from mistakes

My helpful advise to you is to find a better place to grow if your going to do this. Theres some pretty insane cabinet builds in these forums, and people are always putting cabinets out to the curb for the junkman, so if I were you i'd go hunting for a good sized cabinet, bring it home, tell mom I found it and wanted to use it as storage or something, and actually put things in it for a couple weeks like books or whatever. Let mom get comfortable seeing it, and in the meantime do some research here in the closet/cabinet growing forum, gather supplies you'll need, ask questions, and then build a sweet grow cabinet.
