I looked at the air cooling unit. It seems like it could take up too much space for a cabinet grow and it says that it doesn't work well with large rooms if that is what you had intended it for. I would just probably go with the air cooled hood. Depending on the hood you get and how you vent it, you should be able to get those temps down and put those plants right up to that light, with in inches. Also, I don't know if you have looked into making a cool tube for your light? I think that there is a FAQ about it.
Also, do you plan on venting that light with fresh air coming from the outside of the cab so that the light isn't getting hot air from the grow chamber to try to cool it? The reason I ask is because I am not sure if you are saying you only have the Dayton blower. If this is the case you need to get another fan to do the cab justice, one to cool the light and one to vent the chamber.

BlueBear Reviewed by BlueBear on . Mini A/C or vented hood??? I'm looking at ordering some feminized seeds and I wanted to get the temps in my cab back down to the 70's. So I was looking at getting either this mini A/C unit http://store.portableairshop.com/supoaircowii.html Or the other option is buying a vented hood and hooking it up to my 265 dayton. So it's either save some money and use a little extra power, or spend the extra money and have a couple extra benefits like being able to grow bigger and get the plants close to the light with out Rating: 5
