20 hours to burn

Hey people,
I'm going to be flying overseas in about two weeks. And unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I have a 20 hour layover in Amsterdam. And obviously, there is a much better way of spending these 20 hours than trying to sleep in uncomfortable airport benches.:dance:

....The problem is, I'm not 18 yet.

I'm traveling by myself and I've been in many airports by myself many times before (think I even stopped at Schiphol last year too), so getting lost or missing my flight is not a main concern.

Now obviously I want to go to a coffee shop, but I don't know if it's gonna work out.

First of all, will they let me leave the airport?

What are the chances of me getting asked for an I.D and in what shops will I have better chances? I look pretty mature for my age (thank youuuuu facial hair) so would that help?

I'm not desperate or anything so I don't wanna comprimise anything.

Any and all advise would be appreciated,

You DO have to be 18 to smoke in coffeeshops in Amsterdam.
I got ID quite a lot when I was there a few weeks ago...

But you have nothing to lose, its just like trying to get into a club....the worst that could happen is they askfor your ID ....and then say "no sorrywe cant serve you"
Im sure if you have facial hair atleast one coffeeshop will serve you just try around and act relaxed...

Worst comes to the worst you get to spend 20 hours in the beautiful city of Amsterdam haha

Give it a go though, there is no harm in trying

(I dont know about laving the airport....I dont see how they could make you stay there)

Hey, even if you cant get served, all you need to do is breathe in the air around you and you'll be flat on your ass lol!

I reckon you'll be able to get served in at least one or two shops as long as you act natural.
