My big Bio presentation was on that very question. Ill give some very stripped down but intresting points

-There are more cannabinoid receptors in the right side of your brain which is why youre more creative and free thinking,

-Munchies taste better b/c the part of your brain that interprets taste sensation has a high concentration of receptors so in esscence food actually does taste different at least to your brain

-Orgasims feel better because you are more alert to sensation, theres simply more brain activity going into concentrating on that feeling

Being high basically boils down to the fact that these activated receptors which are almost everywhere in the body but especially in the brain cause neurons to fire differently giving your brain altered messages.

Now the kicker is that your brain itself is working very differently. Its not just thinking differently the neurons will align new pathways so the act of thinking itself is something entirely different.


You get a different high from different buds right? If it was just THC that did this then they would all be the exact same high just from different plants. There are 60 known cannabinoids and the different levels of each of these plays a role in what your high is like. Different buds activate different parts of the brain and body to different degrees.
