Yield amount question from a newbie

Big T here! I am new to the grow game and have what will probably be a really dumb question! When I look at seeds on places like weedcity or sensi seeds - they list yield as 110 - 135 indoor and 280 - 340 outdoor. Is this grams per plant? Thanks for all the help.....Toddzillaimp:

lol. Theres over one hunder things that can effect it. Commonly indoor yield is higher.

Your best way to improve yield-per-plant is to look into SCROG and put some effort into training your plants.

Normally inside the yeilds are better, but then again, outside you'll get a bigger plant, therefore more bud.

But no one can say how much you'll yeild. It's impossible.

I think all he's asking is whether the amounts he sees on the websites are in grams. Yes, they are usually in grams unless otherwise stated.

Hi there it is "Little Mark" Here. Remember me? Anyway...

Seeds? Are you nutz? I digress.

Outdoor weed will "Outgrow" most spaces given the chance, also typically will take longer to mature than most indoor breeds. Most seeds listed as "Indoor" will go to bud in a shorter space and therefore are better for most grow rooms.

One outdoor I have is from seeds dating back to 1993 or earlier and the other a clone dating back as far as 1992. These old Mendocino breeds looked like indica back in the day, but now next to my other stuff looks almost pure sativa. The buds from this outdoor breed are HUGE but rarely thicken up indoors. Also as I mentioned they take a long time to mature, but that old school pineapple sativa with a mellow high is almost worth it.

So go skunk for potency and yeild in a small space. Once you have a breed you like CLONE. The sprouting of seeds can add up to 4 weeks or more to the growing process.

mendokid,A sativa,with a mellow high?You got to be kiddin'! Right? Sativa in the purest strain is the most narcotic high,you can get! It's got to have some indica or afgahn in it,to be mellow!

well lets see.

I only harvest a few oz a year of the so called sativa because most of my friends that I smoke with like the spice and skunk x widdow I have more.

As far as high, the sativa is ... "zippier" than the indicas most people crave. I call it "Bud light" or "working weed" because you can smoke a joint and not need a couch to sleep on. It also has a nice grape/pineapple flavor (when well cured) that is quite unique.

On the down side it is not as potent as my others, and takes a full month longer to mature. To make matters worse it grows so fast that a few plants will fill my space given the chance. This sounds nice but it takes valuble growing space away from my chunkier breeds.

If I was growing outdoors I would not be too suprised if this grew to the 10' and over mark, but in my little space at 2' it is only good for variety.

But I digress..

So by "Mellow" I mean light and heady NOT narcotic. Honestly if this wasn't so old and have such a great flavor it would be history by now. After all I have kept this same clone alive for almost 15 years now. Something deep inside tells me to preserve it's genetics. I am currently looking to use it to cross a nice spicy (But short) lime green Hawiian I have. Could be a match made in heaven.

You go Dawg! 15 years! I've kept a strain going for 9.I know all about the sativa high versus the indica high! I'm here to tell ya! Hands down! It's indica! I love a sativa! But Indica is the BUZZZZZZZZ! Everyone needs! They will be high! But, not too high, not to vote on the legalization of cannabis!Props to ya mendokid! 15 years? wish I had Nevil's haze! Or a pure haze from the 80's!It's ashamed they are history! All The Gold's! Man! That was the shit! For real!
