    info on yields

    Hi all

i'm setting up a grow room this year using an 8 pod hydropod system from esoteric hydroponics. It can hold 24 plants within the 8 pods and it is a flood and drain system. The size is L:120cm, W:70cm, H:45cm. I will be using mainly canna nutrients. I'm also using 2x400 watt hps lamps. Could anyone help me estimate a yield per plant or a yield approximately for the 24 plants if i was growing northern lights? Whats the best strain to get the highest yield? Just want an estimate, ive provided all the info so if anyone culd help thatd be great.

    Cheers

Big Bud is a VERY good producer, but its impossibly for ANYONE to give you a estimate of yeild, thats probably why no one has replied.

plant numbers have nothing to do with it, its about your veg height to when you flower ratio...

so if you have time to veg longer you could have less plants, and it depends on the strain your growing, some are better for SOG growing while other grow big and bushy.

a good grower w/o co2 will get around .5 grams per watt in hydro, not saying hydro yields more, just takes more practice to get it perfect in soil. So you have 800 watts total so at .5 gpw that would be 400 grams = 14 ounces.

so basically what you are doing seems to be a sea of green, 24 plants under 2 400's is alot unles you flower them very short..

its all strain dependent, and what growing style you use, like if you top or lst it first, but say you had 24 plants and yielded arond half ounce per plant, that would be 12 ounces...but say you had 12 plants, vegged them a little longer you could get an ounce or over per plant and would still equal around 12.

whatever type of growing method you plan to use, get the strain accordingly that will be suit that. and remember its better to have too many plants and having to kill some because of overcrowdization, than to not have enough and regret you didnt plant more.

You should get anywhere from 10-16 ounces saying you have an ideal growing environment and grow the strain well.

I tried DP's NL {oasis} some time ago and it grew pretty easily and looked nice {pics are NL colas} at harvest but they hermied halfway thru flowering. That isnt a real big prob, i just picked off the male pods before they could open, with tweasers. That took some time every other day or so, but i still could have been ok with that, but the taste was awful, and the high was awful. We grew the NL with a couple other types that go around, and the other 2 types were what was expected, but ended up dumping the oasis in the garbage. I didnt even want to take the time and effort to run it thru the bubble bags.

There are several versions of NL on the market, and some are better than others i'm sure. Good luck.
