*Opens a bottle of Jack Daniels*

    *Pours a shot*

    Been there, and stayed!

Whiskey's good if you don't over do it, man. Limit your drinking to weekends, and keep toking!

Btw, woman are plentiful; don't let the one determine you emotional state! Easier said than done, but if you think about it, this is a great chance to meet new people, and maybe find a woman better suited for you?

You know, one that digs your style. You're a cool cat, Lip, and I seriously doubt you'll have any problems with the ladies.

No NO not one person said to keep drinking!
Dude you have to keep drinking the whiskey, the more the better!
Fuck your job that chick and everything else in the crazy world!
Only you have the power to totally and completely destroy your life
Hopefully your reading this from a desk of vomit and filth
and that you have given up all hope.
Soon your vision will be blurred and the simple task of standing will be impossible.
that burning your feeling is your liver shutting down and soon all of your other organs will too!
an alcoholic induced coma laying face down for days with no one caring is the only fitting way!
    Farewell!

Depressed, Heart Broken and Turning to Alcohol

When I was 22 or something, I went out with a girl from Texas...I was still in New Jersey at the time. Things were good for the first year...they were so good that I was trying to figure out how to move to Texas and was looking to go back to college. It finally felt like my life was coming together.

After the first year...I don't know. Maybe it was the distance, maybe we were just in two different 'emotional places' but the relationship started getting rocky. All of a sudden, the life that I had planned was crumbling.

We broke up and my head was really screwed up. I thought I was a failure and that I'd never be able to accomplish anything good in life. I was smoking like a train, drinking like a fish, and fucking like a loose rabbit. I came to realize that I was self medicating myself because of the hurt and that it wasn't doing anything beneficial for me.

Slowly, things calmed down. I went back to drinking on the weekends instead of every night, went back to smoking a bowl or two instead of trying to get through an 1/8 in a night, and I stopped hooking up with females just for sex. I resigned myself to the fact that this particular relationship wasn't meant to be and the best thing I could do was to learn from the mistakes that were made so my next relationship would be even better. And that's what happened...I eventually met who is now my wife and have been happy ever since.

So yeah, it hurts...it hurts like a motherfucker! But, it does get better and the pain does go away. You need to take time for yourself b/c eventually, you're going to meet someone new and you won't be able to give that new relationship the full attention that it deserves unless you let go of the past. Judging by your posts, I surmise that you're going through the natural pain process and you'll bounce back just fine. It's not going to happen overnight...but let it happen at it's own natural pace.
...I said my piece, so now, I hush.

I'm stunned that nobody here has offered the advice for you go see a therapist Lip.

At a minimum I would tell you to go to Alanon, thats AA's cousin, if you know someone else that is an alcoholic its for you.

Unlike AA you can do whatever drugs/drinking you want, I've been and I can tell you that it helps beyond belief to be able to get yer shyt out on to others and have help carrying it.

Matter of fact I still go to a Therapist and I more than likely will keep going till I'm more than thru with my divorce.

Go to this link man, it just might save yer life. Then again if yer not at the bottom yet, what ive typed probably wont mean anything to you.

Whatever you choose good luck to ya man.
Whatever I post is in no way to be taken as fact, read on your own free will, and believe what you wish.

The best thing you can do is cut off all contact with her. You can try to be friends all you want, and maybe even suceed, but it'll keep the pain flowing whether you know it or not.

Sorry to hear about your break up, man.
Exercise is good but it must be hard for you to find the energy right now.

If you're going to keep drinking then go hang out at a pub where you can possibly meet someone new and socialize with the natives.

Also, you are drinking an awful lot! You smoke allot, too.

In a couple of months, this will all be a distant, hazey, hazey, hazey memory.

i agree with Florida mon...... LIP, excesize, Turn That Fuel To Fire if ya know what i mean, you can turn negitive energy to positive... Make her come crawling back only so you can say "well I think we still need time or maybe we should just be friends"

Always try to use bad situations to better yourself in the long run, It will make you feel better and more in control of the situation.
    Idk just some advice, 1.
