I often see members on here stating that weed doesn't physically harm the brain (which is true) as if that means it won't harm your psyche.

Psychosis: "A severe mental disorder, with or without organic damage, characterized by derangement of personality and loss of contact with reality and causing deterioration of normal social functioning."

Weed can and will cause that. It isn't harmless.

It would help if you first presented evidence, as to what would be considered a severe mental disorder, before expecting your arguement to be considered by even the most naive audience.

its not deffinet, its actualy a 1/4 chance that you will develope psycosis later in life if you smoke heavily during your teens...irrevalent of wether you've stopped or not...then theres also a 1/10 chance of the developement of skitz (tho its higher if its in your family) ...........

notice how i put "will" in CAPITAL LETTERS, just because you smoke it doesnt mean your inevitably going get that condition, theres a chance you might die today from a car accident when you get into a car...that doesnt mean you will.

you have to watch how people phrase things, the english language is notorious for having different meanings and play on words.

haha... this is great. OK, first of all you claim that it "can and WILL cause psychosis" Wrong and wrong. Close, but wrong. See, to say that it will CAUSE psychosis is where you failed at making a valid point. It is true that there are individuals who have a genetic or otherwise linked pre-disposition to psychosis that can be brought on earlier by marijuana usage. But to say that it causes the psychosis by itself is categorically incorrect.
Now that that's covered, I have to question your motives and intentions for posting this thread. Do you seek to convert smokers or warn us of the imminent doom from smoking? Wouldn't your time be better spent volunteering for truth.com or AA, or some other organization that seeks to prevent people from using/abusing HARMFUL substances? Or are you simply looking for attention....
