What is the trick? That wasn't a cheap shot. Actually, come to think of it, how can you admit on my behalf that it was a cheap shot? I only wanted to see if all that new intelligence was doing its job, a yes or no or dissertation would have sufficed.

Paulinator's intelligence, I guess, is within his knowledge, and not necessarily in what I read in posts on here. If I want to gain an insight into that knowledge, or any knowledge, then I probe. Probing seldom renders intelligence useless since the objective is purely to gain knowledge. The more intelligent the source of the knowledge is the easier it is to gain knowledge from that source. This is because the highly intelligent knowledgable person knows how to teach what they know from many perspectives, not just the narrow view that most of us have. Only through constant exchange of questions and answers do individuals gain texture, depth and over-standing of a subject. How I probe is upto me. How someone answers is up to them. Paulinator's intelligence has given him the ability to defend what he knows with what he knows and I dare say that what he knows exceeds the confinements of a response like 'shove it up you arse'.

In the information exchange then, the less ordinary the questions the greater chance of widening ones' perspective. This helps both parties in my view. The more challenging the question, once the answer is found, the better off we all are (I AM).

Calculus is something I am familiar with since I too have studied various subjects here and there. PAR watts and sun radiation potentials on the other hand are fairly new to me but are things that I can go away, look into and learn from, especially if someone has proven that I can increase my yeild by using a comination of different light sources.

If the answer I got was shove it anywhere, that would have been a demonstration of the level of mentality I was dealing with. Then I would have started taking cheap shots instead of using all this costly ammo.

I hope to see a thread or two that deal with these scientific subjects, maybe paulinator is the one to do it once he get his lab sorted. IMHO if you REALLY can make a difference in the world then BRAG away, but only after making that bit of difference.
