LED grow lamps?

A buddy suggested he'd seen LED grow lamps? Has anyone grown with these or is it even a reality for our good friend senor ganja?

I havnt used them, but for the price and all the rest blah blah blah you be better getting a HPS. Or CFL growing.

I'm sure it's a technology that's just too new (read=expensive) at the moment.

LED efficiency is legendary. I predict we will be seeing a bit more of this in the future. After all, who wants to pay a HID electric bill?
