Howdy all, born and raised outside of San Antonio, in a little place known as Cibolo.
I live up north in New York now, and I cant stand it.
What i miss the most is the 2 finger wave you get when passing people on back roads.
Not much hospitality where im at.

Texas is normally such a friendly place, especially in the smaller places. Right now in Big D, what with the heat what it is and everything, we're having an unsually high level of road rage shootings and car-jackings. I hope it'll get better once things cool off.

Yeah, I think people in smaller towns just don't pay attention enough because there isn't much traffic to worry about. So they get kind of lazy about driving.

Luckily now I'm back in my office with the A/C blowing cold and I've got a big glass of iced tea to sip on. If you've got to work, it might as well be comfortable, right?
Have a great day all.

That sounds like a cool place to be. . . . And the iced tea sounds great. You must have a more free office than mine, though, Onward. I wouldn't be able to access this site from my work computer even if I wanted to. Anything even remotely related to drugs or weapons is pre-blocked.

I went to see You, Me, and Dupree today with a buddy over at the Studio Movie Grill in Plano. It was kind of funny, but the story got kind of tiresome after awhile. It would have been better as a 30 minute sitcom. The movie was kind of like Dupree......it overstayed it's welcome. But the audience laughed quite a bit, so I guess it hit it's mark.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Onward!

Hey! You shouldn't talk mean about your boss. He happens to be one of the nicest people I know!
I love Owen Wilson and his brothers. He in particular just cracks me up. The Wilson boys' dad was briefly one of the VPs for the company I work for and I worked for him for about two years. Before that, he was the president of KERA, our local PBS affiliate. Nowadays he owns his own video production company. A neat guy, Robert Wilson. Owen, Andrew and Luke's mom, Laura, is a very accomplished portrait photographer who worked as Richard Avedon's assistant for a number of years. They're a very artsy family. The Wilson parents live in Dallas on the same street that Ross Perot's house is on.
My husband and son and I are probably going to go see "The Devil Wears Prada" tomorrow, maybe at the Studio Movie Grill in Plano.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Hi ya'll. I'm still here in DFW area. Considering a trip to Amsterdam in the fall in case anyone else is interested in going, or meeting up there.
