Morning all,

I got three Santa Maria clones from the growshop around the block. I planted them in soil and put them outside for a couple of days. Then I places them all three for 18/6 under my 400W MH light. Next morning, two plants where hanging like they where dieing. The third one, had lifted up her leaves, looked like she was really enjoying the sun. So I took out the two plants, misted them and put them back on the balcony where they have been for a couple of days. Last night I put them back under the 400W but after a few hours, they where hanging again and I have moved them once more to the balcony.

So a few questions,

1) Is it worthwhile to leave these plants for a week outside and then try again? Of is it possible they received too much stress and they will remain problematic?

2) How do you determine if a plant is ready to go under 400W MH?

3) What is/are the reason(s) a plants starts to hang under 400W? I read that it is possible that the roots have not developed enough, any other possibilities?

Thanks!
HC
