Question About Temperture.
I know that its good for the plants to be in the 70's in temperture. I am curious to what I could get to put in my closet to maintain a 70's temperture. Its getting anywhere from 80-95 in there right now. Is a portable air conditioner the only way?

Question About Temperture.
Plants can survive and do well at higher temps if there is higher amounts of CO2, so If you can keep the CO2 in there higher you would be okay with the higher temps.

Question About Temperture.
Build an air cooled hood for your light. I am assuming that you are using a MH or HPS light. This is a fairly inexpensive route to go and it can greatly reduce the temps in your area just vent the light into the room.
If I were you this is what I would do.
Go to Home Depot and buy the cheapest door that is the same measurements as your closet door. Then take the appartments door off, put the new cheap one on.
Now, cut holes for intake into the closet into the bottom of the door. Cut a round hole (probably a four inch) into the top of the door. Mount a 4 inch duct fan, available at Home Depot, into the door, connect it with tubing to your now modified air cooled hood and vent the heat built up from the light strait out of the room via your new ducting.
I hope that made since. If you want me to be clearer on anything just let me know and I will gladly help.
Take care.
Peace

Question About Temperture.
Explain more on the "air cooled hood" part. I understand the rest but am confused a bit on the air cooled hood and the tubing part. What kind of tub? and where does the tub go?

Question About Temperture.
Hello,
Here is a picture of an air cooled hood, the tubing, the starter collar (to hook to the hood so the tubing can be attached),and the duct fan.
- You will have to create holes for your intake and exhaust in your hood if you do not have a hood that is built this way already.
- Connect the starter collar to the hood
- Connect the tubing to the collar
- Connect the tubing to the exhaust duct fan that is mounted into the new door to exhaust out of the closet.
If you need help to wire the fan just let me know.
I hope that this makes sence. If not just let me know.
Take it easy.
Peace

Yes, you can purchase the fan, tubing, clamps, collar, and even the metal sheeting to create your own hood.
Home Depot seems to unintentionaly be Home of De Pot. Ha Ha...o.k. that was kind of lame.
But seriously yeah. Just go check through all of their aisles. It is a growers dream in a lot of ways. They have all kinds of things that you can use for our little hobby.
Hope this helps.
Peace
