CO2 exists as a gas at room temperature. If your soil is as light as it should be, it should escape to the atmosphere where it is available to plants.
But I wouldn't use carbonated beverages on my plants because the pH is very low (Carbonic acid) until the C all comes out of solution.
I never said CO2 was good for roots!

Anyway he showed me his ever-so-proud of crop and he told me something that has proved to be very useful. However i want to aplogise in advance because i know alot of you on here are experiencied growers and i am only just starting out, and you might already know this.
