Average was $40 per ounce in my area in the late 70s. In '83 and '84 I got it for $120 per pound, but that was in another country, with a weak currency compared to the almighty (in those days) dollar. It's pretty crazy how the prices have soared. Even taking into account inflation, pot prices are waaaay high now, closing in on the gram-for-gram price of gold for good stuff and even exceeding it in some areas. I quit smoking for 3 or 4 years because I refused to pay the high prices. Then I realized (duh), I could produce my own.
