Light and mothers..Hepl
Ok... so, I am in my second harvest & I have not kept any original mothers. I have been taking clones from my clones.
Now I would like to start a mother plant so I don't stress my girls out by taking cuttings 1 week into veg. I have 2 different strains i would like to turn into moms.
I have a closet that is about 2 feet by 5 feet that i can use for this purpose.
my question is how small of a light can i get away with ??? would i be better off with 2 lights? one over each mother?? Yes, i know that bigger is almost always better but i worry about heat issues i always seem to have in the summer and i plan on using white plastic to seal the closet and venting it with a 75cfm fan
Thanks in advance, te lilmanlilman Reviewed by lilman on . Light and mothers..Hepl Ok... so, I am in my second harvest & I have not kept any original mothers. Light and mothers..Hepl
HI lilman...
You can use CFLs on mothers. 1 - 150 watt CFL (from homedepot/wal mart) per plant will adequately keep your mother alive. These lights give off VERY little heat and consume minimal electricity
It also depends on many clones you are trying to get from each mother in a certain period of time. If yu need dozen adn even hundreds of clones you should consider a 400 watt MH or HPS bulb..
But CFLs will do the trick..
