I read Lovely Bones a year or so ago. It was a good story, not a classic though. I need to find a good book to read this summer and I don't want to waste my time with a crap read.
Someone in my class this past semester was telling us about a book he was reading about how the quest to alter our consciousness through the use of drugs should be considered a 6th sense and is a fundamental a part of our human nature. I don't remember what he said the title and/or author was, anyone heard of a book like that?

I would recommend the author Wally Lamb for fiction.

I just got through reading the Lovely Bones by Alice Seebold and The Pleasure of My Company by Steve Martin. I preferred Pleasure of My Company. It had a sense of humor lacking from pretty much anything he's done in the last 10 years. I dunno...does anyone else enjoy a good book? Any recomondations? Rating: 5
