The Book ThreadEast of Eden, Catcher in the Rye, Les Miserbales, and Slaughter-House 5 are my top three favorite books, but most of the ones already mentioned are either books I've loved or books I'm waiting to read.

The Book Thread"Doors of Perception" is by Aldous Huxley, one of my favs, he was really into drugs and married a girl that lived a block away from me
I'm now reading "The Shining". I always wanted to see the movie but I got the eBook first . After that I'm going to begin in Poe's "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket", sounds wicked too... . The Book ThreadI read "The Lovely Bones" a couple years ago too. Pretty sad, and at points hard-going, but a good read. I liked the idea of her heaven smelling of skunk. That was cool. Originally Posted by WeedFaerie420 Originally Posted by WeedFaerie420

 How about these:
"The Third Policeman" - Flann O'Brien (this book is SO VERY VERY VERY COOL)
"Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" - Haruki Murakami
 "Albert Angelo" & "Christie Malry's Own Double Entry" - B. S. Johnson
 "Layer Cake" - J. J. Connolly
"His Dark Materials" trilogy - Philip Pullman
 "The Trial" - Franz Kafka
