12/12 Strictly ???
I have started my 12/12 cycle 7 days ago. I dont have a timer yet. My work schedule usually allows me to turn on at midnite and go dark at noon. But I may go in early or arrve home after midnite every so often.. Will it cause any problems if some days I start darkness 1/2 to 1 hour early so that day it would be 11-11.5 on and 12.5-13 off. Basically I wanted to know ( or become one with the knowmage effect ). if the 12/12 needs to be adhered to strictly or can it vary a day here and there. I dont think there is anywhere on the planet that has max sunshine for exactlly 12 hrs. every day. I am asumiing the 12/12 is just an improvement on nature developed by researchers for optimum growth. And if I waver a bit from the 12/12 what kind of problems may arise. Also It seems to me that some darkness during the light period would be natural (clouds). And that some flashes of light during the dark period would also be natural (lightning).
My plants are my friends.
I want them to be Happy.

Yeah, once there in flower 10 is minimum for the flowering hormone to be activated.
A timer would be a good idea, there pretty damn cheap. Maybe 10$ Maybe even less

12/12 Strictly ???
i got a nice digital outdoor light timer (outdoor timers come grounded) for like $28.99.
Works like a charm... and you can program ~30 light cycles all at the same time on a weekly schedule.
EDIT: you want an grounded timer if you plan on using a surge protecter to power many applications.
