I've always grown sativas (2y) because I like them but i'm about to start with indicas next grow season coz I feel i'm not getting the most of it coz of the lighting. They stretch too much and I end up cutting the side branches all the times coz they won't get enough light. I do top once at the 5 or 7th node (I know it "should" be less but I like this way) and if I top again each end - 4 counting with the next 2 lower nodes before the 2 main ones - it will need more veg time to develop or else it won't develop good enough in flowering stage to have thick buds.
I've once forced flower at 3 weeks a critical + and it went out sweet giving 20grams of good bud but normally I veg for 1,5 / 2 months and the flower forcing is too space consuming in height.
With 400w hps and a 1,5 meter plants too much lower/side branches go to the bin of "low potency" crop. It's a big waste i'm about to give up to Indicas. With indicas all of the plant seems to take great light. We'll see then. Ah another thing is the smell - I had one unknown indica and it smelled pretty bad and I said no more to that so probably another reason I continued with sativas.

Any PERSONAL advice (not on what those marketing seedbanks description sites say - that I can read myself thx) on neutral smell indicas would be nice.
Btw if you care to reply and thx in advance for that the only sites I buy from https://www.lamota.org/lamota/index.asp and Kayagrowshops | GROW SHOP ONLINE Not pub. definitely but if i'm happy with them why should I change? I always clone 1time from mother (seed) and end up at least with 3 to 6 clones to bud so I don't need to buy seeds that many times. 2 times a year I think. Cheers.

FACTS ON SATIVA / INDICA Indica- sativa hybrids naturally tend toward the indica side of the family. they usually have controlled height. they dont grow very tall and after forcing flowering, their growth is limited. their side branches are usually not prominent and they can be grown in small spaces. indica grow under 5foot tall plants. Sativa- indica hybrids tend toward the sativa parentage. they are taller plants, and will double or triple their size if they are forced when they are small. they are usually hard to Rating: 5
