you're obviously going to need something permanent with that classy piece. whatever your home remedy is, it will tar up that female portion of the stem, so you can't take it into another head shop and ask for the male part. trace the circular outline of the slide on a piece of paper and ask another head shop dude if he has a male part to fit. the dude you bought it from might have been trying to avoid selling the complete setup because of some legal issue or something
