quick bong question -- please answer

I'm planning on making a homeade bong, but I have a few questions first. They are all very obvious and or dumb, so please keep that in mind. (I've never smoked out of a bong.)

1. Should the stem go under the water, just above it, way above it?
2. I plan on buying a steel/nickel chamber from a hardware store, how much does it usually cost? And, will I need the store to cut the chamber for me?
3. Can a regular drillbit drill a hole into steel/nickel, or do I need to buy a diamond bit?
4. I don't really know how to use a carb, so how do I use it and where exactly should I drill the hole?

Also, I plan on using orange juice/grape juice etc for the bong water. I know that many people advise not to use alcohol, but OJ shouldn't fuck up my thc intake, right?

1. the stem should go about an inch or two under the water (if it doesn't go under the water, the smoke won't be filtered)

2. Not sure how much it would cost. Never bought that from a hardware store.

3. It could possibly drill a whole in steel. Never tried, try it out and see.

4. Bongs don't use carbs like pipes. There is no hole to cover and release. Bongs use sliders. When you want the air to come in and intake the smoke up to your mouth to inhale, simply pull the stem/bowl out about 2 inches. It's easy.

Grape juice doesn't taste that great. I tried it and i didn't get as high as i normaly did. Orange juice though, i dont know. Let me know how it works out for ya.

yooo i made a bong out of a light saber and it exstends and crap this is the best part u have a choice of 2 sections to hit form the top or the midlle...

yeah josh g i was about to say the same exact thing man if u want it to have a carb just put it a little above the water line in your bong and also try to have it in a comfortable position for you finger to cover....

Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot that some bongs do use carbs. My bad! All the bongs i have used and do use, use sliders though. I think sliders work better. IMO

yeah heres the bong Light Saber IT aint much but i get a good rip everytime so ive kepted it since2001 and still gonnna go on...
