Question for the womenHey Pumpkin

I can't say I've ever been in the same boat as you, as I'm only 18 (with no kids!)

I'd have to completely disagree, You might want a toke, but does your unborn child get a say in this? It's really not worth it, you've got the most precious thing you can imagine growing inside of you, and anyone with any common sense would not do anything to jepordise that. Question for the womenWith all due respect, I do believe I have common sense. Perhaps this question was meant for women who actually ARE pregnant or have been pregnant and know what it's like

Question for the womenhttp://www.newscientist.com/channel/...-learning.htmlIn the study, pregnant rats were injected with a low dose of an artificial cannabinoid. Offspring exposed to the drug during gestation showed hyperactivity during infancy and adolescence, as measured by how many times they broke infrared beams crisscrossing their cages.

This stopped when they reached adulthood, but was replaced by problems with memory retention. The researchers showed reduced levels of a messenger chemical called glutamate in the hippocampus, part of the brain associated with learning and visual ability. They also found disruption of electrical processes associated with learning in this region.

Question for the womenI didn't smoke anything during pregnancy--and wouldn't have dreamed of doing so even if I'd wanted to. Cigarettes contribute to low birth weight and other health problems like a propensity toward asthma, and there's just not enough proof that mj is beneficial to risk it. Of the three babies I've ever known of born to mothers who got high during pregnancy, two of those kids were developmentally delayed, and the other has hyperactivity but seems of normal intelligence.

I'm curious why you'd even be considering doing something that might remotely harm an unborn baby. In the scheme of things, 40 smoke-free weeks isn't a huge sacrifice for a healthy child, is it?\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Question for the womenYWhen you say got high" you are referring to MJ use correct? That you knew 2 kids whose development was delayed because of MJ use? Maybe MJ would be better for Mothers & babies than modern drugs used for various treatments during labor & birth also...I have seen "crack" & heroin babies but NEVER a baby that was challenged because of MJ use only but I don't think I would expose the baby to the side effects..but when the baby gets in the birth canal..thats a different story using mj as a med then..it should be available for the Woman.
