baisez le monde. Reviewed by baisez le monde. on . Question for the women Have any of you ever been pregnant and continued to smoke either cigarettes or marijuana throughout your pregnancy? My baby is a good healthy size but I'm still a little paranoid about what might happen if I continue to smoke? Rating: 5

    Question for the women

hey beach guy....you should be able to understand how science has tried to pin something on weed....
there are alot of things that cause problems in pregnancy...coffee has been linked to miscarriage...certain veggies contain toxins that can be harmful..when women forn aversions to certain foods, its natures way of telling them not to eat it...
there have been a few things in this world found to be a definite problem for unborn children....alcahol, accutane, ciggarettes, crack, heroin..etc...these things come with strong and convincing evidence...but as a person getting high since conception, I can say that my siblings, nor have I, have suffered in any way...for the most part we are contributing members of society...but like i said before...its a culture thing

Yeah, both those women were heavy grass smokers and didn't use any other drugs. But who's to say their kids wouldn't have been developmentally delayed anyway? One of the women was so intent on keeping up her weed-smoking habit throughout her pregnancy that I'd almost venture to say she herself was developmentally delayed. Still, it's not a risk I'd take. Or one I'd recommend to others.

Well, that study is more than three years old, and it does say:
They argue that rat studies can be very useful in assessing human effects, because studies of people can be hampered by complex confounding factors. These could include cigarette smoking, wealth or urban living.
They, also, don't include Love & Emotion, Higher-Thinking, and evolutionalized intuition.

    Question for the women

Recreational drug (marijuana, lysergic acid diethylamide or LSD, speed, cocaine, and "other") exposures of women with primary infertility were compared with those of a matched control group of women with proven fertility. Women who reported smoking marijuana had a slightly elevated risk for infertility due to an ovulatory abnormality (RR = 1.7, 95% CI = 1.0 to 3.0). The risk was greatest among women who had used marijuana within one year of trying to become pregnant (RR = 2.1, 95% CI = 1.1 to 4.0). No consistent frequency or duration of use effects could be demonstrated, and the risk was confined to low-frequency users. Risks associated with the use of other drugs were not elevated. The risk of infertility from a tubal abnormality associated with cocaine use was greatly increased (RR = 11.1, 95% CI = 1.7 to 70.8). Our results are consistent with animal studies suggesting that smoking marijuana may cause a transient disruption of ovulatory function. The possibility that cocaine exposure influences the development of tubal infertility needs further investigation.

and hear I am wasting $30 a month on birth control....but wait...I smoked weed when I got pregnant, 3 times...Oh and my mom has six kids...she could smoke you under the table....on your best day
sometimes the great things in life can never be explained...the one conclusive thing they have found about weed, is that they cant conclude a fucking thing

    Question for the women

It seems people are somehow not processing that with smoking weed, you're inhaling smoke into your lungs and altering your consciousness (yea i know, you knew that), so how could that possibly be good while being pregnant? You should purify your body as much as possible. If I were you I wouldn't risk it, although I can imagine how daunting 9 months of sobriety will be. And beachguy, I found your posts in this thread to be informative and helpful.

well, all of my pregnancies have been difficult, and I was amazed to see how many CHEMICALS they pumped into my body without blinking.... the pain medication you recieve "alters your consciousness".... I was given haldol, morphine, demoral, fetanyl, and other muscle relaxers to stop labor...not to mention random steroids, nausea medicine, magnesium sulfate, pitocin, etc....
