    CFL questions

I just watered them yesterday...maybe a little much...they will be ok.

Those aren't ballasts...they are just Y-connectors. I got them at Lowes for about $1.40US.

    CFL questions

The ones above are the most recent pictures.

Question: Will too much heat make your plants droop? Yesterday my plants started drooping a lot more. I think the temps were up to 90+ degrees.

I think I am going to move my plants inside for the last few weeks...it is too damn hot in the garage.

    HI HUMP!
    : )

Actually, Higher temperatures usually do the opposite.. The leaves will begin to POINT UPWARD.. NOT CURLING.. but just pointing upward...

Drooping is usually caused by over or under watering..

Those lights are nice and so are those plants. Where did you get the lights from?

You might already be doing this and if so then you can disregard this comment.

Try to go for a 1:1 ratio for the "warm" and "cool" CFL's per y-connector.

    CFL questions

All the equipment all came from Lowes. The lights on the bottom are from Wal-Mart.
I am only using the warm lights. I was using the combo, but I found that the plants that had more of the warm lights were producing much more dense buds, so I switched them all to warm. What will the cool lights bring to the table? I thought they were only good for veg?

Oh...I moved my cabinet out of the garage. Now it is much cooler (80F) and the plants couldn't be happier. Also, my drooping problem was due to lack of watering. I need to increase my watering cycle to every other day now.

Having a 1:1 ratio helps protect against stretching. If you haven't had problems with stretching then continue with what you are currently doing but if you do start to have problems add a "cool white" CFL to help stop stretching.
