Yeah, there's probably dissolved atmospheric CO2 in it. Goes to an equilibrium with carbonic acid. Drops pH.

Or is there a way to get the colrie out of tap water. The reason I ask about lake water is that I am at the lake 4 to 5 times a week due to I was a pro wakeboarder and still teach and give lessons.
