LOL! nice disclaimer you have too!
(though its more like a claim than a disclaim)

yeah, hydro beats soil in every way hands down. Most people say it doesn't affect potentcy..but those fuckers are liars! The whole point is to allow a plant to reach its potential. Well, the plants true potential cannot be fully explored in todays world, especially in soil. cannabis is an ancient plant, and the growing conditions it is originally used to from millions of years ago, just aren't as good today. I believe hydro and aero allow the plant to better reach its potential. alot of people say outdoor soil is the best you can possibly grow. but this is not true. you can only grow the most potent bud indoors, whether it is soil or hydro. nature is harsh on the outdoor plants with rain and winds and bugs and temperature changes, and other factors. Also plants harvested in mass usually don't have the potentcy that plants harvested in smaller numbers do...mainly, because of the handling and mistreatment of the buds while harvesting, and during drying/curing (if they even bother to cure). you lose alot of trichomes because of mishandling, and in turn, lose potentcy. and I love my buds covered in trichomes..I always go to the dealer with a magnifying glass and a scale..and If I'm not satisfied, I don't get it.

Well, I don't know why you were banned, but I will say that your statement that potency is better in hydro is wrong. I have and still do grow both methods. Pot doesn't get any more potent is hydro than soil...It is all Genetics.

Now it does grow bigger and faster, but I have had a single kolasoil plant out-yield hydro plants, when hydro plant showed serious hybrid tendencies and grew more foliage, thus creating too dense of foliage to get optimum bud maturity.

also, a plant reaches full potential regardless of medium grown in. Just the same as a plant vegged 3 months will take 3 months to finish.

I do have a question for you plastik! How do you know that all your bagseeds were females??? I really would like to know. peace

everyone slaps ppl with potentcy is genetic, but while true, also the conditions grown can allow it to better reach that genetic potential. I think we can all agree that hydro allows us to better reach this potential. in the outdoors, you will definately lose potentcy to the weather conditions. you will lose trichs, you will have rain, which will allow for less transpiration, and possibly the breaking off of trichromes.

"also, a plant reaches full potential regardless of medium grown in."

that is definately not true. if it is growing quicker, and in better conditions, then it is reaching more of its potential. giveing the roots more air in hydro, and not having to make them search for food, allows for it to reach its potential easier quicker. if anything, it only reachs the full potential the medium food and light will allow. that is like saying if you add C02 it won't help the plant further reach its potential. Hell, even with the best conditions you can provide today, you are still technically not reaching the plants potential..we are still far off from that. plants used to have 15x the C02 to use in the atmosphere than there is today, so technically they are reaching less potential today, and it has declined significantly over time. and it's all not just potentcy potential, it is also growth potential.

Oh and I know all of my bagseeds were female because there are preflowers in those pics, you just can't see them very well because it is only a 2 megapixel camera, and it is hard for me to get close up shots.

Cool a good answer...well, potency=Genetics...even you agreed with that. the reason ppl hit you with that is because it is true...bigtime!

Now when you compare Indoor hydro to Outdoor in the elements...That's apples and oranges.

But indoors I can grow a plant that "knock's your dick in the dirt"(70's saying) in either soil or hydro...and honestly, I do not need any more potential, personally...I'm there...Scary chitman. Peace, and thanks for not taking offense to my Queries. latewood

more pics... 3 weeks flowering if you count from showing of preflowers, 4 weeks and a few days if you count from switching to 12/12. 2 of these aren't as large as I'd like, but the sativa was just overshading them WAY too much, so only 2 got most of the good light. the sativa was jogged, and the others were basicly left alone.

Pic 1: shot of before the sativa was pulled, for clones.
Pic 2: horrible attempt at flowering pic from the sativa
    Pic 3: indica flowering
    Pic 4: little indica flowering
Pic 5: piece of stem from main sativa dried out..gonna make a sherlock pipe after I sand her down, and fill in/drill some holes.

it gets better...remember, only 3 weeks veg.

Pic 1: largest sativa in flower..probably half way through, give or take.
Pic 2: little bit of both of them
    Pic 3: larger indica again
Pic 4: group shot, as you can see the one on the left was shaded the worst
Pic 5: shot of some of the sativa clones, decided to keep them close together.

    Pic 5: little closer..kinda blurred.

well that about does it. need a new cam, its a pain to take these pics, had to take nearly 200 just to get some ok ones. different angles, different lighting, flash on and off, etc. I don't want to make any assumptions about yield yet..we'll see. just recently started to fill out a bit over the last week.
