First Grow, 3 weeks in W/picsHey guys, Just thought I'd delurk and tell my tale. Basically started something I didnt think would succeed, took some bagseed(from my cooking stock) and germinated them in paper towels, again, not expecting them to pop. Alas, they did, and here are my babies three weeks in.
Details: Started under only 4 42watt CFL's before a friend donated a 175 watt MH. They have been watered with tap water Ph'd down and all that, with superthrive. This week I gave them their first 1/4 strength fish emulsion since they seem to be lightening up. No nutes before this, just the superthrive.johnny h Reviewed by johnny h on . First Grow, 3 weeks in W/picsAs you can see in the first pic, the tallest and once LST'd plant is preflowering, and its female! Its a great feeling when you look at those stems, and see tiny V shaped white hairs coming out of a pod for the first time. 2nd pic is the same plant from afar. 3rd and 4th pics are another plant I decided to tie down since she only seemed interested in shooting up, not outwards. 5th Picture is the runt of the bunch. I transplanted her later then everyone else because I was too lazy to get a pot. 4th pic is just another plant. Thanks guys for all the general information, I learned everything from here, search search search! Here's hoping for more females. Btw, I had them on 24 hours and have in the last few days reduced that to 18.

Feedback, suggestions, problem fixing, all appreciated!

First Grow, 3 weeks in W/picsSativa? Wow, I was thinking it was more an indica because of how bushy it was.. Thanks for that bit of info! Heres the grow room. Lined in b/w 6mil poly stuff, I dont have any CFL's on the otherside of the reflector, but Im going to be fixing that soon. I was actually going to order a 250watt HPS ballast for flowering.

On a side note...when should they be ready for 12/12 ? I was thinking about switching them over real shortly, as soon as the runt gets a bit taller.. but rethinking I should just go ahead and switch them now, let the runt be damned... Always second guessing myself.

First Grow, 3 weeks in W/picsHi Johnny...

I was thinking they are sativa because of the leaves...
And your point about "BUSHY" is wel taken and maybe it is some sort of cross.. Maybe we can get JDOGG in here.. he love talking about STRAINS!!!

are you going to clone them?

if not, yes I would flower in the next couple days!!!

You may want to consider transplanting them into 3 gallon containers.. I would..

 iloveyou

 250 watt HPS.. COOL!!!

First Grow, 3 weeks in W/picsSeriously depressing, there is a search button for these reasons sticky. I guess Ill educate you. An HPS light is a High Pressure sodium light, they put out red light arrays wich is better for flowering, this is 1 of the 2 HID lights. The other is MH, these put out blue light arrays wich are generally better for vegatation, correct me if Im wrong. Im not sure if Red/blue is the color, Im almost 98% on the money but if Im not, feel free to correct boys. Originally Posted by stickyinsalem Originally Posted by stickyinsalem
