Global Warming
I'm still waiting on the verdict of "global warming". I was just reading the other day where they've found evidence that the north pole was once a tropical paradise. We may be facing another global climate shift whether we stop driving SUVs or not. Until they make up thier mind, I'm not too worried about it.

Global warming in my opinion is a myth. The earth has natural cycles just like cannabis. I watched a great show on the discovery channel once all about this. My numbers may be off a few years but that's ok. About 800-900 years ago the world was very prosperous. The average temperature worldwide was 7 degrees farenheit higher than it is today. Agriculture was thriving worldwide. Over the recorded history leading up to this point the average temp was rising till it reached this point. Just like now. Then around 1200-1300 A.D. we had what was known as the "dark ages". During this time the average temp worldwide plummeted to 11 degrees farenheit below what we have today. Almost a 20 degree drop!!!!!! There's even reports of the canals in Holland and Italy freezing solid!!!!! This was very bad time for humans, wildlife, and plants. Humans had to find new crops that could handle the harsh climate. And ever since then we've been slowly building back up. It's the same thing with tropical storms. People were all freaking out last year when there was so many hurricanes. If you look at recorded history again you'll find that in the Atlantic there's a pattern. About every 40 years or so there's a big increase in tropical storms then it dies down or returns to "normal" for another 40 years or so. It is my belief that this is simply how things work on this planet. I'll look up the name of that show and post a torrent if I can find it.
So all in all I really don't think we have anything to worry about we're not gonna have an ice age or climate shift any time soon. I'll end this with aconversation between Chet and Darrel on south park fromk the goobacks episode(They took our job).
Chet: Maybe we could cause more global warming and melt the polar ice caps and usher in a new ice age or something.
Darrel: How the hell is global warming gonna cause a new ice age?
Chet: Well, you know, the global warming could bring on like a climate shift or something.
Darrel: Chet you are a fucking retard you know that? Even if global warming was real, and all proven scientific data shows it isn't. It'd take millions of years for a climate shift to occur. You think an ice age can just happen all the sudden like?
Chet: Well I was just trying to be helpfull...
Darrel: Well help yourself to a fucking science book cause you're talking like a fucking retard. Now people come on think damnit we have to stop them they took our job!

Regardless if it is being caused by pollution, it's still essential that we stop putting poisons into our air.

"so you're saying drive hybrid cars and not think we're better than everyone else because of it?? I'm not ready...it's simply asking too much, perhaps oneday we can all drive hybrid cars and not be smug about it. But not now, the technology is simply too much for us" - Randy Marsh South Park
Sorry devious although I agree with you I had to say it.
