Overnight mold!!! What to do???
I came into the grow room one day...Here is what I found...Help!
Do I cut off effected leaves, harvest early, or Spray something on them.
The plants most effected are in Hydro.
I cut off some lower branches in order to show a good pik. So all you guru's can have a stab at remedy... thanks, latewood
Just so you have all info...At the time I was flowering potted soil plants in same room...with a composted potting soil (black velvet), I never used before...humidity was around 60% temps stays 70-81 degrees over a 24 hour period.latewood Reviewed by latewood on . Overnight mold!!! What to do???
Neem!
Also spray unaffected plants to keep it from spreading.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific; my only experience with mold has been Black Spot and Powdery Mildew on roses, but neem works wonders.\"Careful what you carry- \'cause the Man is wise- you are still an outlaw in their eyes\" -Steely Dan

Overnight mold!!! What to do???
So far...I have come across 2 remedies, One for sure, but you need 150 bucks, the other is a 50% cure, due to what I like to call the "Lotus syndrome" (believe it or not, mildew spores can build a resistance to treatment over time.)
1st treatment...this is said to work 100% period. Sulphur pot. It is an electric element that cause pure sulphur (you add) to melt and omit a gas...which kills the mold/mildew dead!
2nd treatment I found is old school home remedy...Add 2 tsp baking soda to gallon of water, and ph up to 9.0ph
mold/mildew do not like to live in alkaline ph conditions.
Couldn't afford sulphur pot, but I mixed baking soda alkaline mix to try for immediate treatment. peace

Overnight mold!!! What to do???
OK, I went to the grow-room and spray-misted the entire room/plants/medium/top of soil/bottom of shelves top to bottom...when I got there temps were 83f amd humidity 57%...After treatment, temps were 88f and humidity was 91%.
I add 2 tbsp baking soda to gallon of well water, and that raised the ph to 7.5...It took 15ml of ph up to get near 9.0 ph to kill spores. I say near, because (who would've guessed it, but my Milwaukee ph meter decided to have intermittent battery or sensor problems once I got to 8.4ph)
so I added another 5ml ph up, because each 5ml had raised ph about .5. We will wait 'til tomorrow and see what happened.
I know how this happened now. I have a leaky ROunit, and it has caused mushrooms to grow in wall between rooms and along 2 feet of baseboard. I am so pissed at myself...despite working my ass off, I created a problem, that I neglected and BAM big problems.

Overnight mold!!! What to do???
well, I must say that the baking soda ph9.0 spritz bath appears to have done the trick. It shriveled up the 3 mushrooms I found, so that is pretty convincing...
Damn, If I had just continued to be lazy and left that rotten floor alone???
we learned something here...If you don't have access to the surefire Sulphur Pot...follow directions posted above. Overnight most of the mold is gone. I resprayed a few places, and will maintenance the plants for the next week or so. I also redoused the sporous area on the rotten floor.
