water in a container with an air stone and pump. Just take the clones and put them in neoprene inserts. Mediumless and effective. Definitely an opinion type answer though.

im doing that and nothings happening.. temps are at 18 C, lights are on 16/8 (42 Watt CF) , stems are just an inch above the water level, lots of air bubbles are coming up. P.H. is at 6. my clones are slowly dying its been like a week.., i got a see through garbage bag over top to keep it humid.... I had the stems under water before, then i realized they should be above water surface.. any help ? I really need these clones to root, i got 8 of them i can take a pic of my setup later on today. thank you

I just built my first wick cloner, just a little deli container nested in a big one, perlite, and a string.
Fill with cuttings, ignore for 2 weeks.

in a study they found peak root growth at 16 hrs daylight, its only 2 hours less than 18/6 for veg so thats not the root of the problem. i wish it was that easy though lol.

use vitamin b1 thats what the plant uses to initiate root development also you can use a commercial rooting hormone.

its not online its an oldtime book constantly revised throughout the years, its called how to supercharge your garden.. as far as i know if your over 14 hrs of daylight your plants veg... just like outdoors, it also depends on increasing or decreasing daylight hours. 1 min/per or something like that... plants notice it...but thats not what im wondering right now....i guess il just be patient and let them root... i have b1 thrive alive... im pretty sure thats not whats holding them back, sure it helps out, but you don't need it, just like rooting gel...but i guess it wont hurt..
