Males in my patch!
and just dump the males. moving them a short distance like that won't do any good as pollen can travel the winds for many miles...besides you need to consider you are probably not the only grower in your area so not only will your crop be seeded with who-knows-what but everyone else within miles of you will also most likely get seeded...which will make for a lot of unhappy growers. why keep em anyway? are you making seed and if so why?
m.g. Reviewed by m.g. on . Males in my patch! Hey guys. I just checked up on my clones and i noticed some males in the bunch. they are only about 7 weeks old from clone, and had only 4 males in the bunch of 80 or so. My question is, i spotted them while they were young....do they cause a problem due to pollenating?, and do they pollenate the same time as the females flower? I heard that having them mixed in your crop can screw things up ( i kind of figured that). I moved two about 100 ft away from one patch, and have them tucked behind Rating: 5
