Final HydroBubbler Setup (Long).
Hello All
This is my second thread on this forum. I have had some help setting up my plans in a older post. I think I have everything setup the way I want it and plan to order these parts shortly. Let me know if im leaving anything out.
I plan on buying one of those HydroHuts locally. http://www.hydroasis.com/Merchant2/m...ory_Code=HyHut .
My setup inside the hut will look very similar to this https://secure.irie.tc/stealthhydro/...ac7049d2d4b5c9 . I plan on building it to save money but using pretty much the same exact setup(400w HPS hortilux light setup).
My questions are as follows.:
The hut may be to big to fit in a closet so how well do you think it would work in a regular room? I mean I know it will fit but with a decent carbon scrubber will it smell up the house any? I would also like to know how much noise I can expect from a bubbler system(like a fish tank?). Will the exhaust from the system be harmful to my health if it just blows out into the room? I have never set one up so I dont know and I havent seen the answer around the forums. The reason for putting it out in the loft is because the closet may become to hot, the tent will be crammed in the closet, and I can get guaranteed cooler air where the natural AC blows in. Of course ill have the required ventilation coming in and out of the tent.
I plan on putting this in my loft which sits above the rest of the house however the loft is open to the living room(overhang area) where people come in. If this is a bad idea because of noise let me know. No one will actually be able to see it as no one comes up in this area.
Any suggestions and comments are welcome. If you disagree with anything please mention your thoughts so I can work out a solution. THanks for your time.BlazedMind Reviewed by BlazedMind on . Looks good.
The noise from the airpumps can be supressed by sandwiching the pump w/ 2 pieces of foam w/ a rubber band.
Let us know how the build works out. Nice to see your DIY RESPECT!

Is there a window nearby where you plan on putting the tent that you could duct your exhaust air from? I've been reading up alot on carbon scrubbers and am planning on making one for myself, but from what i've read, its pretty hard to totally get rid of the stink. If your blowing your exhaust right out into your house, then I would think that chances are your gonna catch a whiff of it. Maybe just use that flexible aluminum duct for an exhaust to a window since its the 2nd floor? If thats not possible, I would make/get a carbon scrubber for inside the grow tent itself, and then work some kind of carbon filter into your exhaust line out to catch as much as possible of the stuff the scrubber doesnt get.
As far as noise, i'd say your fans noise will drown out any noise from the air pump lol. At least that was my problem. I had 2 inline 6" duct fans, plus an oscillating fan for air movement in the room. I ended up insulating the ducts/fans with duct wrap to supress the noise from those, and the standup fan I just lived with.Pot is my Prozac.

You CAN get rid of the stink if you buy/make a large enough scrubber for your oder and make sure there are no leaks in your venting line. I use a chimeny to vent my air in the summer and I let it vent into my room in the winter(heats things up)
You will need a fan and it will make noise. Since you have people over just put your fan power on a light switch and try to have your dark period at the time they will be over in your 18/6 or 12/12.

Any suggestions on the minimum carbon scrubber i should be looking for? I will make sure there are no leaks in the line best I can. I already run a very high output 120mm fan on my computer so im sure the other fans would sound just like it when I turn off the computer. Im not so worried about people coming over because I can mainly just keep them out the house while things are happening and let them in once things are cleaned up.
I do have a closet and bathroom nearby I could run the duct to but that would tacky and my other half would complain(some of you know how this is). Well thanks for the help.

Think im going to go with Northern Lights and Blueberry to start off with. I would also like to check out the hype with the OG kush but correct if im wrong that is a smelly strain.
With 6 4inch net pots what kind of yeild could I expect on average? I think the tub the pots will be sitting in will be a 15gallon if im correct. Thanks again.

Its not about the net pot size, Its about the root ball room. If your lookin to up your yeild then scrog your grow. You can consentrate the light to the canopy w/ no wasted light.
Yeild is about light, strain and the stress put on the plant.
Keep optimal conditdions of your grow room to maximize yeild

when the plant is 10-15" tall you will put the scrog above it and switch to 12/12
