    Day 18 flowering, no sex...help?

Ok, I'm on Day 18 of flowering. I have 7, 2fters of bagseed. This is my first grow, didn't want to waste money on good things & screw it up...which I currently seem to be doing.

I have (6) 43w cfls & (1) 150w hps going on them. They're in 1 gal. pots in an organic based soil. No nutes at all throughout the entire grow. I did slip some epsom salt in for a couple feedings during veg. to help with yellowing leaves..problem solved. Do not know the strain, but most likely sativa's (thin fan leaves). Veged for 54 days.

My problem is just as stated, I'm on day 18 of flowering. I did have a light leak that I didn't notice until a week after the 12/12 switch. But that has been remedied. I only have one girl that I definitely know of & she started pistiling almost a week ago. The other 6 are not showing anything at all. No balls, no pistils...nothing. Alternating nodes are in full effect.

I'll try to get ya some pics this evening. My only issue may be heat. I've had it reach close to 90F in my grow room during the day. If anybody has any ideas or has experienced this before, let me know.

if they are definitely sativas, you should be aware they often flower much later in their lives, partly due to being accustomed to equatorial climates where growing seasons are sometimes indefinite. i would keep the dark treatments going; it's not going to hurt them. they might just need more convincing.

I know that hps lamps are especially good for flowering because of their light-spectrum similarities to natural autumn light. the other lamps might radiate at places in the spectrum that are not typical of autumn light. they might not believe that winter is actually coming

And double/triple check for light leaks. Even a small amount can prevent flowering

Thanks for the replies Aust & Smokey. After doing some more research, i found that it's not to rare for sativas to be slow in showing sex. After looking in on them last night, it looks like I'm starting to get some growth building up. But the outcome is not looking to promising. I know I have 1 female, the rest are almost looking bally. Everybody keep their fingers crossed for me.

    Grow'em to the sky!!!!
