    Critique this setup

I have the deluxe hydrohut. 4x8x7. I would like to hang a heavyduty lightproof curtain to seperate it into 2 sections. In the first section, 4x6x7 section, I would put 2 Aquamist I aeroponic systems, with 6" pots. Lighting would be 2 600 watt HPS. In the remaining 4x2x7 I would put 2 bucket systems and a cloner. This would have a 150 watt MH over the mothers, and a 125 watt cfl over the cloner. Is there a more effecient way to set things up with the equipment listed?

    hey JERR,

how will you move around the the aquamist systems? they will fill the room up to the edges.. correct? leaving you NO work space

I am thinking you can just use one aquamust system and if you use 6 inch nets..with 1200 watts HPS. The plants will fill the entire room anyway.. the plants wil get so huge and bushy that they will actually hang over the system 2 feet iin all directions...

With the money you save on the extra system , you can get plenty of air pumps and airstones to really fortify your reservoirs with O2..

just a thought.. If it is your dream to have two systems.. by all means.. i do not mean to step on your vision..

    : )

    cheers

Step on my vision all you want. Having not done a hydroponic grow, I am still feeling out the basics. I want to grow the most effecient and productive grow I can, not the grow that I envisioned early on come hell or high water. I am always up to suggestions on making it better.

As far as room, I would have a little room to squeeze around the sides to do some work in it. Lucky for me I am fairly skinny..

This stuff is not listed in your spec

not idea what a hydro hut is...

    but

What about breathing. you need to 'exhaust' spent air and get fresh air in.

I would consider odour control as well. Growing in a tent is great as the fumes are trapped. When they are exhausted....

Suggest you cover floor boards. You dont want fumes annoying your neighbours.

I've worked a tent/ tunnel (not sure what a hydro hut is) and even though space was limited all was funky.

For Me temperature was a problem . This was snorted with a butane heater parked at the front door. Humidity (and heat) can be an issue with the exhaust fan sucking out air every 15 minutes which in turn nuts the RH. A humidifier with RH control is good news. In my experience a humidifier goes nuclear trying to maintain say 40%rh after the air is exhausted. If 40%rh is set, it will go up, to say, 60%to try and maintain 40%. Best to set RH at say 30%. Also moisture can sit atop the tent and drip shit all over your lamp (s). Maybe a smoke detector would be good, but hey, they go apeshit if they get wet.

My setup had flouros along the length of the tent with shelves underneath for lings and veg.The breadth was used for pharming

    pics would be good!

I just saw those recently at the hydro shop should work fine you can always get the smaller version later if you need more room for your moms and clones
