Is it possible to change the taste and/or color of marijuana while growing it. If so, how?

Yes, your right, you can pretend to have a purple strain, but is their any point?

Supposidly you can make the buds sweeter with sugar, but why bother?

It all depends on the strain.
Don't look at it like what vcan I do to get this strain to taste like grapefruit for example.
There are already strains with the flavor your after believe me.
I've smoked bud that taste like oranges, grapes, grapefruit, Blueberries, cherry and so on.
