You're doing the right thing but going about doing it the wrong way.

Don't give him a spice meddley. Try and talk to him about holding off until he's a bit older. Tell him you know from your own experience that it would be more beneficial for him to wait another year or so.

Another thing...I'm an only child so it may not work this way, but I'm assuming if he gets caught it will be both your asses.

you should tell him it was fake, but let him know why you did it

if he knows you smoke, this may be a bit of a problem, but I'm sure you can explain him that monkey see monkey do isn't gonna work right now at this point in his life....
