You can get away with it... IT IS CRITICAL TO HAVE ADEQUATE CO2 AND VENTILATION DURING THE LIGHT PERIOD...

Ventilation and air flow are not only critical for bringing in concstant c02 but also for temperature and light proximity to foilage... an HID light 12 inches from your plants will produce TWICE as much bud as a light 24 inches from your plants... more ventilation allows the lights to be closer to the plants

Garden Knowm Reviewed by Garden Knowm on . Flowering ventalation for dark period. Im getting ready to start flowering but I have not gotten the proper vent setup yet. I have a closet space 3wide 6 tall 6 long. I am hoping to end up with 6-8 females out of 16 bag seed plants half sativa half skunk. for now it would be much easier to seal the door in the 12 dark period but I wont have any ventalation.
