acne conglobata
Actually night prowler, my doc told me that food has little to do with acne problems. That's a common mistake a lot of people make. They think that all these oreos are going to make their face break out, when in reality those cookies will just give you a little flub in your stomach. It might play into it a tiny bit, but not too much. It has a lot more to do with stress levels and hormones. Some people just get it through either, and stress levels do have A LOT to do with it.
I've found that when I'm not stressed out, my face seems to clear up, and stay that way for the most part.

I feel you, I had some bad acne when I was a teenager.
Mine would brake out on my face, back and shoulders.
I grew out of it cleared up when I was 18. Its nothing to be embarrassed
about there is a lot of teenagers that are going thru the same
thing. As someone posted before it most likely looks worse to you
than others. Be your self and do not let your outward appearance hinder
your social life.

I wish that first summer, instead of hiding away, you'd have spent time in the sun. The sun is the best acne healer in the world. When I'd break out, I'd hit the heatlamp (in the winter) and I'd bake myself in the summer. The acne went away and I looked great! I do understand how serious your type of acne is. My cousin had your condition. Eventually, she grew out of it and had lazer surgery to help rid the scars.
Unfortunately for some people, especially boys, this acne can be brutal.
Thing is, just be you. Don't hide yourself. There is more to love about you then your acne problem. And guess what. Girls fall in love with boys with acne. We can actually see thru it.

Yeah, they say tanning can be so unhealthy for your skin, but it can actually be very beneficial for it, as well. Like anyone else has said about it, it won't completely make the problem go away, but I know it can help because my doctor told me so. Maybe not for acne conglobata but I know I have psoriasis and when I was little I had it so bad that I'd bleed through shirts and I'd have to stay home for a week or so at a time. We got lots of creams and stuff for it, but my doctor said one of the easiest ways of treating this was tanning. When you tan, the cells in your skin call melonocytes, i think, produce a the pigment melanin which protects the skin from the sun by making it darker. Melanin, he said, can also have some sort of regenerative properties allowing the skin to heal faster with limited exposure (ie, making sure you only tan long enough to not get any kind of burn) and it can dry out the surrounding area by telling the skin to stop producing so much oil to be secreted from your pores by adding layers to your skin.
I'm not saying tanning is some sort of panacea, but the general concensus nowadays is that tanning = t3h sexy, sooo...what you got to lose, mi mano?
Btw, don't worry about your scars, man. Around here, I guess a lot of people have acne conglobata, I know of at least 10 people I can think of right now. No one considers it a big deal, ya know? If you know the person, you really don't even see the acne or the scars, you just see the person.
The way I look at it, when I am talking to someone with scars or whatever from that, I don't care about what they look like, I'm just hanging out with them, ya know? I don't think about or stare at their acne because it ain't a big deal to me, so it shouldn't be to you. If I don't care about your acne, you shouldn't either. It happens, ya know? Don't be self-conscious about it, because once you start stressing out about it, you somehow wind up all alone. Be confident and don't give a FUCK about your problem, cuz no one else does either, I promise.

I have really horrible acne
I was the same way
I hated myself for a long time
but then I realized
in the end, you gotta do whats good for you
don't let society's ignorance hold you back from enjoying life
You will find plenty of people that will accept you and treasure you not from the outside, but from the inside where it counts the most
and for those who don't, FUCK THEM!!!
Karma's a bitch
a pms'ing bitch

We all know how cruel people are in the real world. If you get your hair cut you're going to have to accept some asshole comments. If you feel you can do that then go for it.
