Bowl alternatives for bong

I am in a need of a bowl/stem combo for a bong, and I've heard many things about aluminum foil releasing toxic fumes, and the nearest headshop is over an hour and a half away... Any suggestions?

If you dont wanna use tinfoil to line something your options are really limited. Okay your mom might have one of these around. You know when you decorate cakes with frosting you have to use those metal tips? I would suggest finding one of these and then attach it to something.. like a pen mabye? With glue or something? Or like just put your rubber stopper on the cake deal and use it just like that. Other than this option I'm all out of ideas. I assume that your male stem is the broken part also, this wont work if your female part broke.

What about anything from a hardware store? I can't imagine they wouldn't have small metal cones, and I could silicone 'em to a stem easily enough. How does that sound?

Sounds like a plan dude, I'd look for a screen though, you wouldn't want you bud getting all wet in your bong. If you cant find one check under your faucet, they usually have ends that screw off with little round screens in them(in case you didn't know). Good luck anyways:thumbsup:

I hear cheesecloth works well, but would it burn if I rotated the bud before it burned? If not, I can def. find some at good ol' Home Depot

If you have ever used aluminum, have you ever noticed fumes? I think they're rumors. It's used for baking and stuff, how could if be safe then?

I actually have used tinfoil, and I never noticed anything other than a mild metal taste if you burn it. I hear that it's dangerous also, but I seemed to be fine afterwards. I wouldn't use it everyday though.

heres a temporary one.

take an average apple and cut out a good section, atleast 2inches by 2 inches.

make a whole in one side thats large enough for buds, and then take a skinnier tool and make that go from the top to the other side, then you can take something and put that into the bottom, and stick that into your stem downpiece and you got yourself a bowl.

Wow... That's really creative. I'd be willing to bet it'd taste good, too I wonder if the moisture content of the apple would affect the burn?

Yo i used to have this prob, till i got my bong If you got really desperate you could use a pop-can, dent it, poke some holes. The first pipe i ever had was a soapstone one i made. u could try to look in the yellow pages for a craft store if u wanted to do this. theres a shitload of ways.

To me the easiest way to make a cheap but effective bowl in a pinch is to cut off a water hose and just stick a faucet screen in the metal end and smoke outta that. I've ruined many a good water hose in times of dire need.
