If you've got some worn out windshield wipers, there's a metal piece in the wipers themselves that can be quite useful in scraping resin out of your pipe. However, I do have to say that I've seen two pipes broken when scraped too often (especially where the heat is most concentrated) so be gentle.

I used QTips to clean the mouthpiece area of my 5 inch pipe (it has a mushroom shaped thing at the front, not a typical spoon glass pipe). I cannot clean the bowl however.
