try using manual mode and when you have the image focused, turn the ISO speed down. that will keep the noise (speckels on the pic) down and the image will be clearer. nice pics tho

the ISO is the light filter. its the digital camera's way of recreating more light-sensitive film. you turn it up in low light environments to get the pictures brighter but it will also make the image more speckeled and the higher the ISO the more noise will show up on the pic. if you're indoors and you have good lighting put it on a 1/10 shutter or so, apperature at a lower setting and ISO as low as you can. play around with it to get the desired result.
