can anyone give me a helping hand?

so im new to growing and just moved to the northern-most part of new york. i was considering just having a few plants in my closet(3 feet wide by 4 feet long with a 5 1/2 foot ceiling). if anyone would mentor me step by step it would be greatly appreciated. im sick of dealing with people who JUST WANT MONEY!

i found two f40cw lights in the workshop, theyre in a holder for both of them. will these be sufficient?

You can start with those yes. You need to get them close to the plants like only a few inches above to start with. But you will need more light if you want to get any real weight out of your plants.

There are some good threads from BobBong about growing with CFL.

You need good air flow and have a fan gently moving across your plants too.

Please read the FAQ's or browse some threads, mentoring someone is very hard to do via i'net, and there is simply too much information to pass, thank goodness most of it is here in these forums.

zandor is right. Go out and buy a desk fan and a CPU fan. Have the desk fan blowing on the plant and tape the CPU fan up to a hole in your box so that its sucking cool air in.

You really should do some minor research on the web... maybe read some posts on this site.. actually thats a great idea!

Growing is fun and easy if you kow the basics... and it is a nightmare if you don't know a few simple things... learn the few simple things....


Your question is tantamount to me asking you
"how do i make love to a lady"

you would have so many questions for me..

1. Do you know a lady?
2. Do you want to get her pregnant?
3. Do you need to have foreplay first?
4. How much is she charging you?
5. Will you be involved in foreplay..
