    Water vs Coke

As a bodybuilder I can't emphasize enough on the importance of water. Here are some of the reasons why: (some may have already been listed)

Water is essential to nearly all of the body's processes. Dehydration will cause the body to slow it's metabolism down in order to conserve water levels.

Water is a thermogenic. This means that it is used by the body to convert fat into glycogen. Dehydration will cause this process to slow down, thus reducing the amount of fat being burned by the body.

Water is used by the body as a cooling agent (sweating.) A severe lack of water can cause a heat stroke as the body has no way of cooling itself.

The body is made up of 75% water. I think this point is clear enough.

Water is used primarily by the kidneys to flush toxins out the body. Dehydration can cause a build-up of these toxins, one of the less serious results being kidney-stones.

And this one's my favourite. Water is used to regulate the viscosity and therefore pressure of the blood. It is also used as a transport for THC!
